PA6 ESD – Polyamide 6 ESD

PA6 ESD (electrostatically dissipative polyamide) is an improved version of the classic PA6, modified with antistatic additives. It is designed to prevent the accumulation of electrostatic charge, thereby reducing the risk of damage to sensitive electronic components and improving safety in explosion-hazardous areas. The material retains the mechanical properties of standard PA6, such as good strength, toughness, and wear resistance, while providing reliable ESD protection.

Main properties:

• Antistatic properties (specific surface resistivity typically between 10⁶–10⁹ Ω)

• Good mechanical strength and toughness

• Good wear and sliding resistance

• Moderate chemical resistance

• Good machinability (turning, milling, sawing)

• Reduced moisture absorption compared to standard PA6
