PA12 MO (MoS₂) – Polyamide 12 MO

PA12 MO (or PA12 MoS₂) is a technical plastic based on polyamide 12, modified with the addition of molybdenum disulphide (MoS₂), which enhances its mechanical and tribological properties. The MoS₂ additive reduces friction, increases wear resistance, and improves dimensional stability. PA12 as a base material has lower moisture absorption than PA6 and PA66, providing better dimensional stability even in humid environments.

Main properties:

• Extremely low moisture absorption

• Very good dimensional stability

• Good chemical resistance (oils, fuels, solvents)

• High impact resistance, even at low temperatures

• Improved wear resistance and lower friction due to MoS₂ additive

• Better machinability and reduced sticking in sliding contact applications
