PA12 GF30 is a high-performance engineering thermoplastic based on polyamide 12 (PA12), additionally reinforced with 30% glass fibres. The addition of glass fibres significantly increases the material’s strength, rigidity, and thermal resistance, while maintaining the low moisture absorption and good chemical resistance typical of standard PA12. This material is widely used in applications that require mechanical stability at higher temperatures or in aggressive environments.
Main properties:
Reinforced with 30% glass fibres (GF30)
High strength and rigidity
Low moisture absorption
Excellent dimensional stability
Resistant to wear and impact
Excellent chemical resistance (oils, fuels, solvents)
Good thermal resistance (up to ~120–140 °C)
Low shrinkage rate during processing
Good electrical insulation
Typical applications:
Automotive components (e.g. housings, connecting elements)
Mechanically stressed machine parts
Gears and bearings in high-humidity environments
Components for railway, aerospace, and electrical industries
Seals, connectors, bushings, bearing surfaces
Parts designed to withstand vibration and mechanical loads
