PA12G – Polyamide 12G

PA12G (cast polyamide 12) is a high-performance construction plastic used where an excellent combination of mechanical strength, dimensional stability, chemical resistance, and moisture resistance is required. Compared to extruded PA12, cast PA12G offers improved homogeneity, lower internal stress, and larger dimensions, making it suitable for extensive machining and complex technical components.

The main advantage of PA12 over other polyamides (e.g. PA6 or PA66) is its exceptionally low moisture absorption, which allows it to maintain mechanical properties and dimensional stability even in humid environments. The cast version (PA12G) further improves machinability and enables the production of larger and more precise components.

Main properties:

• Low moisture absorption (excellent dimensional stability)

• High impact resistance even at low temperatures

• Good chemical resistance (oils, fuels, diluted acids, and bases)

• Good sliding and wear resistance

• High fatigue strength

• Suitable for continuous use at temperatures up to approximately +100 °C
