Pertinax (HP 2061 / PFCP 201) – paper-phenolic board for electrical and technical use
Pertinax is a laminated board made of multiple layers of electrical paper impregnated with phenolic resin. The board is formed under high pressure and temperature, giving it good mechanical and electrical insulation properties.
Complies with standards DIN 7735 (designation HP 2061) and IEC 60893 (designation PFCP 201).
Properties:
Good mechanical stability
Excellent electrical insulation at low voltages
Easy machining – cutting, drilling, grinding
Heat resistance up to ~120 °C
Economical solution for basic technical and electrical applications
Typical applications:
Electrical insulation boards and spacers
Support structures for electrical devices
Gaskets, bearing plates and sliding elements
Model making and educational devices
Mechanical parts in medium-load environments
Standards and designations:
DIN 7735: HP 2061
IEC 60893: PFCP 201
Colour: Brown (natural)
Thicknesses: Typically from 0.5 mm to 60 mm
Note: Pertinax is not suitable for high temperatures or highly humid environments – for more demanding conditions, we recommend fabric-based materials (e.g. HGW 2082) or epoxy laminate boards (e.g. FR4/G10).
